Backup & Disaster Recovery

Because "it'll probably be fine" isn't a strategy.

Every business has files, emails, and records it can't afford to lose — and work that can't stop for long. Computers fail, hackers attack, storms hit, and people make mistakes. The question isn't if something will go wrong, but when. The right backup plan means you're ready.

What's Protected

For our managed service clients, backup is included — it's not an extra charge or something you have to remember to set up.

Microsoft 365 Data

Every user includes backup for their email, shared files, OneDrive, and Teams conversations. This is a true backup — separate copies that we control — not Microsoft's built-in recovery, which has real limits. If someone accidentally deletes something, empties the trash, or your files get encrypted by an attack, we can restore everything from a clean copy.

Servers

If your business has a server, we back up the whole thing — individual files or the entire system. We regularly test that the backups actually work, so there are no surprises if you ever need to recover.

Workstations

Ideally, important files live in the cloud where they're backed up automatically. But we know that's not always how it works in practice. We set things up so your employees' important files are saved to the cloud in the background — without them having to think about it or change how they work.

Our Backup Approach

Backup only matters if it works when you need it. We focus on reliability, regular verification, and making sure your data is protected against the threats that matter most.

Ransomware Protection

Modern attacks often try to destroy your backups first, then lock your files. We protect your backup copies separately so they stay safe even if your main systems are compromised.

Regular Testing

A backup that doesn't work when you need it is worthless. We regularly test restoring from backups to make sure everything works before there's an emergency.

Encrypted & Secure

Your backup data is encrypted in transit and at rest, so it remains protected even if something goes wrong.

Point-in-Time Recovery

We keep multiple copies from different dates. Whether you need yesterday's version of a file or last month's, we can get you back to exactly the right point.

Beyond Backup: Disaster Recovery

Backup protects your data. Disaster recovery gets your business running again.

Disaster Recovery Planning

We figure out which systems your business needs most, and in what order they need to come back. Who makes the call that something is seriously wrong? Who gets notified? Where does your team work if the office isn't available? These questions get answered before there's a crisis — not during one.

Recovery Options

How fast you need to be back up and running depends on what downtime costs your business. We offer options ranging from restoring to new equipment (hours to days) to cloud-based systems that can take over in minutes. The right choice depends on your budget and how much downtime you can tolerate.

Communication Plans

During a disaster, clear communication matters almost as much as technical recovery. We help you plan how you'll communicate with employees, customers, and vendors when normal systems aren't available.

Business Continuity

Business continuity is the broader picture: keeping your organization functioning through disruptions of all kinds, not just IT failures.

Remote Work Readiness

If your building becomes inaccessible — fire, flood, power outage, whatever — can your team still work? We make sure the technology is in place so people can work from home or another location and still access everything they need securely.

Critical Process Documentation

What happens if a key employee is sick, on vacation, or leaves the company? If the steps for important tasks are written down and stored somewhere safe, your business keeps running even when specific people aren't available.

Vendor Dependencies

Your business depends on other companies' technology too — your internet provider, your software vendors, your cloud services. We help you understand those risks and have a plan if one of them goes down.

Know You're Protected

Most businesses don't know if their backups actually work until they need them. Let's review what you have in place, identify gaps, and make sure you can recover when it matters.
